Approve/Reject Revision

Roles: Reviewer, Admin Plans: Starter, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise

About This Task

Review your revision to ensure that all InformationUnits are set up correctly including available languages and assigned metadata. Then check if the correct documentation file is assigned to each InformationUnit. On this basis you can:

Approve The Revision
Promotes the revision state to Approved. This indicates it is complete and correct. Approving a revision is the last step of the revision review and the requisite for publishing the revision.
Reject The Revision
Demotes the revision state to Draft. This indicates that it is incomplete or contains incorrect documentation files. Rejecting a revision is requisite for further editing the revision.

Instructions

  1. Arrow pointing to the right. Go to the Product Explorer and open your product.
  2. Check the primary and secondary languages.
    You should find the languages of all countries where the device is in use.
  3. Check the localization bar.
    The localization bar should be at 100% indicating there are no InformationUnits without a documentation file assigned to it.
  4. Check the metadata of all InformationUnits.
  5. Check that all InformationUnits have the correct documentation files assigned or language links.
    Use the group buttons to sort the InformationUnits by Component or DocumentType.
  • Reject Incomplete or Incorrect Revision
    1. Click "Reject Revision" to demote the revision state to Draft.
      You can now edit the revision further.
  • Approve Complete Revision
    1. Click "Approve Revision" to promote the revision state to Approved
      The revision state is updated. You can now publish the revision.
