Manage Available Metadata Choices

About This Task

Update the available choices for DocumentTypes and Components in your revision. This allows to update your available choices for DocumentTypes or Components after creating your revision. You can also update the identifiers and public names of existing DocumentTypes or Components after creating them.

Instructions

  1. Arrow pointing to the right. Click " Revision". Then decide if you want to update the available DocumentTypes or Components.
    Check mark. The revision setup opens.
  • Update Available DocumentTypes
    1. Arrow pointing to the right. Go to theDocumentType selection .
    2. Arrow pointing to the right. Edit as necessary:
      1. Arrow pointing to the right. Select addition choices for DocumentTypes. Then click "Transfer Selection" make them available in your revision.
      2. Arrow pointing to the right. Click "Create". Enter the names of the new DocumentType you want to create, then click "Create".
      3. Arrow pointing to the right. Click on an available DocumentType to show its public names. Then enter its new public names in any language.
      The available DocumentTypes are updated accordingly.
    3. Arrow pointing to the right. Continue by updating the available Component or click "Close" to return to the revision panel.
      Your changes are saved automatically.
  • Update Available Components
    1. Arrow pointing to the right. Go to the Component selection .
    2. Arrow pointing to the right. Edit as necessary:
      1. Arrow pointing to the right. Select addition choices for Components. Then click "Transfer Selection" to make them available in your revision.
      2. Arrow pointing to the right. Click "Create". Enter the names of the new Component you want to create, then click "Create".
      3. Arrow pointing to the right. Click on an available Component to show its public names. Then enter its new public names in any language.
      The available Components are updated accordingly.
    3. Arrow pointing to the right. Click "Close" to terminate the revision setup.
      You return to the revision panel. Your changes are saved automatically.
