- About the Product Page and its functions.
- About revisions and how you can use them to upload, organize, and publish documentation files.
- How to navigate the product page and edit the product settings.
The Product Page provides a detailed view of your product and serves as a control unit for the product's revisions, settings, and theme in the EnduraDocs Viewer and Documentation Portal. Here, you can manage revisions and product settings, and share access to its published revision in the EnduraDocs Viewer. In the EnduraDocs Manager, a product represents a device from your portfolio. A product serves as a container for all the documentation files of its corresponding device, similar to a folder in a file system. Each product belongs to one workspace and is found in the Product Explorer.
- Create and edit revisions.
- Edit product settings to reflect developments on the device it represents.
- Progress the revision workflow by reviewing and publishing revisions.
- Share access to the product in the EnduraDocs Viewer.
About Revisions
Revisions are like a snapshot of the uploaded documentation on a
product. It contains documentation files of the product in the current version
sorted according to the structure of Documents you set up. Products can have multiple revisions in different states,
just as documentation files can have multiple versions. However, only the latest
published revision of a product is accessible to the operating personnel in the
EnduraDocs Viewer or Documentation Portal.
Revision Creation Options
- Manual Creation
- Set up the revision structure manually by selecting
choices for metadata elements like

Documents for your documentation files. Learn more.
- Based on iiRDS Archive
- Upload When you provide an
Archive the EnduraDocs Manager will set up your revision automatically. All compatible
InformationUnits and metadata from your
Archive are adopted for the revision, and you end up with a complete revision, provided your
Archive contained all necessary files. Learn more.
Revision Workflow
The revision workflow describes the progression of a revision from its
creation to its publishing, with all the states and transitions it undergoes. The state
of newly created revisions is Draft. Once an Editor finalizes a revision , its state is promoted to
Review. Users with at least a Reviewer role
can either reject
the
revision to demote its state and the product state to Draft, or
approve the revision
to
promote its state and the product state to Approved. Once a Reviewer or Admin publishes an approved revision
, it's state and the
product state are promoted to Processing while its documentation files
are uploaded. Once the upload is completed, the revision and product state are
automatically promoted to Online.

| State | Description | Tasks | Related Product State(s) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | This means the revision is not completed and can be edited by users with the Editor role and above. | Draft | |
| Review | Indicates the revision is complete and ready for to be reviewed by a Reviewer or Admin. If the revision state is Review, it can no longer be edited. | Review | |
| Approved | Indicates that the revision is complete, correct, and ready for publishing. | Approved | |
| Processing | When in the Processing-state the revision is uploaded to the cloud and redundancies are created. | Processing | |
| Online | Documentation files of revisions in Online-state are available to the operating personnel in the EnduraDocs Viewer and the Documentation Portal. Once published, revisions can no longer be edited or be demoted. If you find an error in a published revision, you must create a new revision to correct it. | Online or Error. |
